The NDT Biochip

The core biosensor technology was developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and has been refined and commercialized by NDT in Cincinnati, OH.  This biosensor (“Biochip”) contains 25 highly sensitive discrete light-sensing diodes. The instrument records the incidence of photons and integrates total light over time.  The photodiode read seven orders of magnitude of wavelength and intensity of light.  Further, this platform can be adapted to lateral flow, flow-through immunodiagnostics, or microfluidic test formats, utilizing immunochemistry, molecular chemistry, infectious disease detection, and other biomarker detection technologies. The chemistry detection format can be chemiluminescence, fluorescence, or phosphorescence.  The NDT system can be applied to the human diagnostic, veterinary diagnostic and food safety, including feed safety markets.

  • 25 Independently Read Channels.

    • Simultaneously record up to 24 different analytes + background data.

  • Extremely Sensitive.

    • If you lit a candle and placed it on the Moon, our biochip could detect the tiniest flicker of that light all the way from Earth.

  • On-time Factory Calibrated.

    • The biochip does not require routine calibration.
